It was initially generated through the original aerial flights of TRPD Parks from 1990 - 1999. It has been updated and maintained by the GIS Section through comparision to the latest County aerial photos as often times the wetland areas have encroached into some Park land over time. This dataset generally denotes and delineates the areas within Park District Lands that are between the high edge of wet areas and the edge of open water and is mostly occupied by cattails/bullrushes. It is not necessarily related to the National Wetland Inventory. This data was most recently updated in 2012 by County aerial photos. The Data Grade for this data is Low Mapping. Wetlands has the following fields: Inv Date, Data Provider, Source, Comments, GIS Sq Ft, GIS Acres, Wildlife Code, etc., This layer is a polygon layer displaying the Wetlands within TRPD Parks. It is unrelated to the NWI and is intended to show wet marshy areas by digitizing the most recent County aerial photo. It was recently updated (2014) to fit the 2012 County aerial photos. This layer is generally used for mapping purposes and not intended to supercede any 'real' wetland data owned and maintained by TRPD NRM Water Quality. This feature class contains no subtypes.
